Presentation Title:

Combined protocols using IPL therapy and prolonged-release biorevitalizers as a method of anti-aging therapy and solving the problem of hyperpigmentation

Abstract

Subject Objective

To determine the efficacy and safety of the combined use of hyaluronic acid-based dermal implants and narrowband pulsed light technology.

Material and Methods

Twenty-five healthy volunteers aged 35-65 years participated in the study. Five groups of five participants were randomized. Group I underwent comprehensive correction (skin preparation with biorevitalizers, hardware procedures using phototherapy, and volumetric modeling with hyaluronic acid-based products); Group II underwent three hardware procedures using phototherapy; Group III underwent comprehensive correction (skin preparation with biorevitalizers, three hardware procedures using phototherapy); Group IV underwent three hardware phototherapy procedures; and Group V underwent volumetric correction only.

Result

Improvement in skin tone and smoothing of fine wrinkles were observed in all groups, but the most significant reduction in erythema was noted in Groups I and III. Furthermore, skin redness was already reduced after the biorevitalization procedure, before hardware correction. The depth of wrinkles and folds decreased as expected in Groups I and V, and to a lesser extent in Group III. Patients in Group V did not show a significant change in skin tone. Patients in all groups reported improvements across assessment scales, as well as a high level of satisfaction.

Conclusion

The study confirms the safety and efficacy of combining biorevitalizers, hardware technologies, and hyaluronic acid-based fillers in comprehensive skin rejuvenation and quality improvement protocols. Analysis of the obtained results indicates a more pronounced reduction in pigmentation, erythema, and wrinkles in patients who underwent comprehensive correction.
