Educational software for students and teachers of the dentistry specialty
Abstract
Introduction: Educational software is a teaching program that encourages learning and the development of cognitive skills in teachers and students.
Objective : To evaluate the level of acceptance of educational software among students and teachers of the Stomatology specialty.
Methods: A research and development study was carried out at the Faculty of Stomatology of the University of Medical Sciences of the province of Camaguey from March to September 2023. The universe was made up of all students and teachers of the fourth year of the Stomatology specialty. The theoretical methods used were: analysis and synthesis and the application of an interview as an empirical method.
Results: The results of the work showed that 90% of the teachers classified the educational software as interesting, 8% positive, and only 2% negative. On the other hand, 85% of the students rated the products as interesting, 10% positive, while only 4% considered it negative.
Conclusions: Educational software in the specialty of Stomatology generated a high level of acceptance, between 80% and 100% of the sample issued interesting or positive criteria, establishing a powerful tool for the teacher and a very useful alternative that motivates, encourages and develops the technological and investigative culture in the student.
