Title: Sound alike conditions in dermatology
Many entities in dermatology have names that look- alike, sound- alike, or named after persons with similar names or after the same person. This resemblance makes understanding the difference between diseases cumbersome. This similitude makes learning these diseases dismaying for the first year dermatology residents struggling to understand the differences, but especially for the third year residents who are going to appear for the boards. This list earmarks some of the most commonly confused entities by name and provides clinical description and relevant facts.
